Fishbowl Sportsmans Club (Between Siren and Webster on STH 35.)

10-32 Solutions is partnering up once again with Kevin from Milwaukee COPS to put on a two-day Defensive Pistol 1.5 course. I partner with Kevin's company enough that I include his bio on our instructor page. A summary for him is that he's a large metro city-cop, firearms instructor, and USPSA champion shooter that is a bit nervous to be leaving the concrete jungle for the awesome paradise that the northwoods of northwestern WI is. But since I've had to go to Milwaukee for our last partnerships, it's time for him to return the favor!

Defensive Pistol 1.5 is a combination of our best defensive curriculums intended for those shooters that have familiarity with their pistols, but want to learn how to really operate them for situations where the combination of the gun and the shooters performance makes or breaks the end result. This course can be used by people looking for increased skills for action pistol competitions, or for those who are looking for the skills needed to increase their odds of surviving a lethal force encounter with their handgun.

Course topics will start out with a refresher on fundamentals and pistol operations we feel essential to performance such as the draw, sight alignment and trigger control, stances, various reloads to use and when, malfunctions, and target acquisition. We'll build on those with increasingly progressive steps of shot placement, shooting to stop, mindsets to survive and manage stress and adrenaline, and others depending on the classes progression of skill levels. This will be a course where full-sized pistols will be recommended for comfort. Concealable compact and sub-compact pistols are allowed, but be aware that overall shooting comfort and learning potential may be affected by the increased round count and higher degree of skill and controllability various models in those classifications require. Please contact with any questions so that we can assist you in maximizing the learning potential if you attend.

Holsters that use the trigger finger to release retention such as the Blackhawk Serpa are not allowed due to overall safety concerns. We can assist with locating cost efficient alternatives if needed.

I don't see that event posted here! You might have gotten me and a few other Milwaukee ArmedBadgers to attend if we had know about it :!:

Well, you have another chance this Sept and October, as we've got weekends reserved at RCLRC! They'll be posted on here once MKECOPS has things slow down this spring and we can lock down a few more details. One weekend is going to be handgun oriented again and the other carbines.
