S & W rebates

Post Number:#1  Postby TWW » Thu Oct 19, 2017 5:31 pm

During the second week in July I ordered a firearm from Bud's and it came quickly and the transfer at a local hardware store was a snap. Smith and Wesson had a rebate on the gun with some ammunition, spare magazines and something to load the magazines so it sounded like a pretty good deal. That is now three months ago and I still have heard nothing about the rebate items. There is a company that handles the rebates and on some forum I learned there is a a web site you can check status on or call the company but neither method worked when I tried them a month or so back. Has anyone had any luck with getting rebates from Smith and Wesson?

On another forum I read, a bunch of people got in on those rebates. It seems to take 3 to 4 months for those rebates to come through, so you should be hearing something soon. Be careful, though, I read that the rebate check looks like junk mail.
There's isn't enough crime to warrant a person owning/carrying a firearm, but there is so much "gun crime" that we need to enact strict gun control. Which is it? Is there a lot of violent crime or isn't there? If there is, that seems like a good reason to need a gun for protection, if there isn't, they why do we need to ban firearms?
