Anyone stopped while carrying in Il?

Post Number:#1  Postby ksks » Sun May 28, 2017 7:20 am

I was wondering, with their new law, what may have happened with the stop if carrying or had a loaded gun in the car.

Heard of any stories?

Consideration of limiting the power of the state, in favor of individual liberty, should be at the core of every law.

We drove through a lot of IL twice last week. I cannot imagine what you would have to do to get stopped there.

First you would have to find a trooper. We didn't see any on either trip.

We did drive out of our way to avoid Chicago. I don't want to debate "high-capacity" magazines with any LEO there. It is not part of America, so I avoid it.

Is there a capacity issue with Chicago?

Yes: it's beyond my capacity to tolerate it.
There's isn't enough crime to warrant a person owning/carrying a firearm, but there is so much "gun crime" that we need to enact strict gun control. Which is it? Is there a lot of violent crime or isn't there? If there is, that seems like a good reason to need a gun for protection, if there isn't, they why do we need to ban firearms?
