My evolution in EDC

I started carrying a 1911 because that was the platform I was most familiar with(now that it's getting cold and shoulder holsters are an option again????) Decided I wanted something a bit smaller, shopped around read a bunch of reviews and bought and carried a Bersa Ulra Compact chambered in .40 S&W.(which has become my bedside"bump in the night" gun. On the advise of a good friend I started looking at revolvers and ended up buying a Ruger SP101 chambered in .357 Mag. which has become my EDC. When I carried the 1911 I had 7+1,the Bersa has 10+1 and the little Ruger has 5 rds. I also carry 2 speedloaders with me. Should we get into a SHTF scenario the Ruger gets to be the back up and the 1911 assumes it's rightful place on my vest.

I've evolved the other way. The longer I carry, the more I can carry.
